Tips for Successful Videoconferences
Introduce
Yourself
As soon as your site is connected, let your presence be known to the
other sites.
Practice Proper
Etiquette
There is a slight delay in video transmission, so remember to wait a
moment to be sure the last person has finished before you begin speaking.
Also, minimize fidgeting, distracting hand gestures, etc., as they may
cause enough noise in the video signal to disrupt transmission.
Dress for
Success
Blue and warm gray clothing make skin tones look most natural, although
any solid color is acceptable. Plaids, stripes or other bold patterns may
cause distortion in the picture. The same considerations also apply to the background at each site.
Check Camera
Angle
Give remote participants the best possible view of the meeting room.
Make sure everyone stays within the camera range.
