What If We Want To Buy Our Own Equipment To Do This?
Q.> What is it that you do?
A.> We rent you a comfortable executive videoconferencing room, all the appropriate
equipment and a helpful technician that will make it possible for you to have a very clean
and clear visual conference over any distance. Both your group and theirs will hear and
see the distant participants as if they were in the room with you. We take care of
everything, you just have a meeting.
Q.> Who can rent your
videoconferencing room?
A.> The facilities are available for anyone that has a need to see and hear people in
other parts of the world. We will accommodate any special needs that you bring to our
attention in advance of the meeting.
Q.> How much does it cost?
A.> Room rental starts at $250/hour plus the cost of the bandwidth. If this room in
Omaha is receiving the video-call there is no cost for Bandwidth. If our equipment dials
out to a distant location then the cost of the bandwidth would be added. If the
Videoconference will involve more than 2 locations, it will be necessary to have a bridge
involved so that everyone can see and hear all the other sites and there will be
additional costs associated with the bridge. (call for more details)
Q.> How do I pay for the room
rental?
A.> Purchase order, or letter on Corporate letterhead. We also accept all major credit
cards.
Q.> Is there a cost for the room
rental at the distant location?
A.> Many times this destination is part of your company, in which case there would be
no cost. If the destination is a public videoconferencing facility, there would be rental
charges that would be payable to them in addition to the cost of this room and bandwidth
if applicable.
Q.> We have regular weekly
meetings, will our rates be lower?
A.> Certainly! We can put special pricing together for frequent users, or users of
large time-blocks.
Q.> How large of a group can you
accommodate?
A.> Our beautiful new facilities can accommodate multiple groups of up to 45 people.
For groups of 12 or larger, please contact us for special pricing.
Q.> Do you have a place for food
and refreshments?
A.> We provide chilled bottled water and coffee at no extra cost for all conferences.
We have a catering firm available for anything more that your group would like.
Q.> Who makes all of the
arrangements?
A.> We take care of everything for you, just call! 402-596-0823
Q.> How does a Videoconference
Work?
A.> Our conference rooms have the necessary cameras, microphones and transmission
equipment so that all of the visual and audible information is collected and sent REAL
TIME to the distant location. The remote group that you will be conferencing with will be
in a similar room that will have television screens and speakers so that they can see and
hear everything that happens here. At the same time, cameras and microphones in the remote
room will be sending their information REAL TIME to the television screens, and speakers
here in Omaha. The result will be the sensation that you are all together in the same
room, having a conference when in reality you will be a great distance apart.
Q.> Can You Receive Satellite
Broadcasts?
A.> We can certainly make special arrangements for such reception, but we would
probably want to show you some alternatives that would accomplish the same thing much more
economically.
Q.> Can You Broadcast to many
users at home Via the Internet?
A.> We have a company that can provide Streaming Video as part of the conference, and
that would allow hundreds of employees, shareholders, or the like to view and hear the
conference from their home or work PC's via the public Internet. Participation could be
facilitated with a simultaneous telephone conference for questions and feedback.
Q.> How Can I Try This?
A.> The best thing to do is to look at your schedule and identify a meeting that
involves travel in the next 30 days, and contact us about our alternatives. We can tell
you if this makes sense to try video, and how we can proceed. You have to make that first
step to try the technology. We will NOT let you fail!
Q.> What If We Want To Buy Our
Own Equipment To Do This?
A.> We represent all of the major manufactures of Videoconferencing Equipment and we
can provide you with a specific quotation and will help you get the job done right.
